I don’t stop when I’m tired, I stop when I’m done.
This week we have had a rather intense stamina cycle. It always makes me look forward to strength where we get to lift weights and are able to breathe in between sets, instead of this steady grind. My coaches at Atomic are developing an athlete’s “mental fitness”, and they are doing a great job. After a ten minute warm up, we ran 5k, did 40 sandbag get ups, and 40 “mr. spectaculars” which involve kettlebell clean & presses and a push up. From last week’s puny attempt at the session (where I fell 37 reps short), to rocking out Tuesday, beating my 5k time by 3 minutes, and finishing the workout with time to spare, I felt euphoric.
Never underestimate the power of your mind, and the determination to succeed.
